Currently, I am a doctoral student at the University of Memphis. I am pursuing my degree in Instructional Design and Technology. The University of Memphis’ IDT Program is very challenging and I believe it will prepare me for future opportunities in my career. I decided in 2010 to begin this challenge to further my education and enrolled in the Fall with a goal to graduate in three academic years.

My love for technology, teaching others, and solving problems (with technology) is the reason I decided to devote my efforts to obtaining an advanced degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

I currently teach 9th Grade STEM Applications at Grenada High School in Grenada, Ms.  Along with my current teaching responsibilities, I also help with the high school football program, enter stats into the MaxPreps national database for football and basketball, represent Grenada High School in the Partners in Education Organization, and represent GHS on the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee.

I also have the responsibility of coordinating the Credit Recovery Program to help students recover high school credits in which they did not pass. This content delivery system (Apex Learning) provides an all digital online curriculum in which students can advance at their own pace to complete the course. Along with this, I administer Subject Area Test Tutoring to students who need additional help to pass our state’s required subject area tests. Students use USA Test Prep to help strengthen their knowledge in these core areas of study.

Along with working with student athletes on the field, I also monitor their grades, set up tutoring, and help guide them to meet NCAA academic requirements.
